Wow. Nameless. Also. Stuff.

Posted by squeakytoad Apr. 16, 2008 @ 3:56 AM EDT

That series is awesome. Yotam Perel is almost unparalleled in comedic writing on NG. Some brilliant moments in his stuff.

Anyway, I haven't made anything in a really long time, and I have nothing to show for it.
On one hand I'm incredibly busy. On the other hand I'm disgustingly lazy with my free time. April's halfway through and I've released one movie this year and it's a collab.

So here's some cool stuff out recently:

Charlie the Unicorn 2

MindChamber's Latest Art Contest - Pretty neat idea.

Metal Gear Collab

Camp North - A collaborative website a ton of awesome artists are making.

Luis interviewed AloneintheDark. Yeah, I just got this from Tom's recent news post. But AloneintheDark is an awesome animator, so you chould check it out. Btw, why aren't interviews with authors going in the NG Mag anymore? That place is dead.

Zekey's Aniboom (the spamming website) RadioHead Contest Entry - I find this animation oddly appealing. You should watch it and vote for it if you have an account over there.

Haha. Digg, you've made your point. < Digg this.

Emma Watson turned eighteen and gets access to her $20 million fortune..

This is the greatest bear ever.

Mets Get Rick Roll'd

The below image is pretty neat.

Colbert should have been in the presidential race.

He is America, and so can you.

Apr. 16, 2008 | 4:17 AM squeakytoad responds:

He was. Then some idiots kicked him out.

That picture is amazing. I might use it for my VAC avatar. Thanks for those links, mate. I didn't know about most of that stuff.

Ng mag and Ng alphas, both pretty good ideas! but there is something about them, something cold... Maybe that's why they died.

Hm. I believe I already made a statement on this matter. =/

I haven't watched Nameless 1/1 yet, but I'm sure it'll be awesome. Perel is a silly man who makes silly movies -- MY FAVORITE KIND OF MAN. I'm leaving for school like right now but I'll watch that other shit later

Didn't get around to telling you, but I liked Larvae. Nice work. I'll be watching for your future animations.

That truly is the greatest bear ever. I almost want one.

As for the Nameless series, I don't find it quite as enjoyable as some series on Newgrounds, but the latest installment was definitely interesting and funny. Especially that crazy truck driver. I would never read in a car, much less read an entire Super Mario Sunshine walkthrough out loud to someone while driving a truck.

is it safe to say The Zoo Collab is a no go?

I wanted it finished so bad lol oh well

Apr. 22, 2008 | 10:31 PM squeakytoad responds:

Bah. I think I'll just dump the over-ambitious idea I had for it and just release it already. Would be a shame for all that work to go to waste.

Apr. 22, 2008 | 11:01 PM Gmagnum says:

Zoo Collab, how could I have forgotten about that. Glad you're going to release it, probably won't get any award or whatnot, but that doesn't matter, as long as it out there.
