The brown one might be a toad...

midgetsausage responds:

nope! it is a type of Breviceps adspersus, one of two species of frog commonly referred to as "common rain frogs".

I liked.

Gerkinman responds:

It was a fun little project.

Wow you really masterfully created a unique atmosphere with the gothic, off-kilter art, lighting and composition, the vivid sound effects and perfect soundtrack. Really good stuff. Looking forward to seeing more from you.

PedroZorrilla responds:

Thank you very much, if you want to see more stuff ive done there are a couple more animations on my Yt channel, spoiler, most of my contect pre 2016 is trash, and post too, except for a spiderman stop motion animation lol (i was 16) https://www.youtube.com/user/pzorrilla1/videos

You, my friend, are still very talented I see.

Squeakytoad? What what whaaaaat?

Got to write a serious review.

Bravo. Your use of lighting splendidly set the tone. Your grasp of composure is remarkable. Your signature gritty shading works well with this genre.
Your art, for the most part, was immaculate as usual.
Perspective seemed a little off at times. Not too shabby though. Some of your shots are perfect.
As for the animation, I'm a huge fan of your life-like frame-by-frame, but I felt with this piece I was watching too many symbols just tween around.

Fantastic script. Don't apologize for relying on the cliches, man, that was what made the humor so perfect. It was all quite appropriate. Campy, yet suave.
The level of 'cool' emanating from this piece is off the charts.
You always make the most epic stuff. I get shivers of awesome as I watch your movies.

Keep it up. Great, great work.

FUClock responds:

Thanks for the review, man. Always nice to hear some critical feedback.

I agree with your assessment that there were too many tweens as opposed to straight fbf. With a full-time job and Clock Day deadlines I didn't have a ton of time, sadly. But I'm glad to hear you liked it/ my movies in general. Thanks again.

You've got such a grasp of animation. Your cartooning is excellent. So much life in your characters.
You've got some real artistic talent here.
And I might add you have a great grasp of pacing and humor. Overall, it was very entertaining.

You did a great job.

And I just realized that I love just about everything you've submitted. So I'll be adding you to my favorite authors list, hoping to be informed of your future work the moment it hits the portal.

Keep animating, man. You're awesome.

Falconer02 responds:

Wow, thank you! I'll definately keep animating...the thing is I'm a bit overheated with it lately so it might be a little while till my next submission. Thanks for the add though!

Still some of the finest entertainment on NG.

Ah, man, you've just got such a skill for humorous story-telling.
You've achieved a series of productions that would actually make for a good television show.

You've got the format down great. And the humor is really original and timeless. I struggle with far too many pop-culture references in my own work, meaning anyone who doesn't keep up with political and entertainment news misses half of it. But your comedy is fantastic and can stand on its own. And you make an insane amount of cartoons compared with the rest of us..

You also continue to develop your unique art and animation style. You've come a long way there.
I've never been disappointed by your work, so please keep making more.

eddsworld responds:

Ah yes, there were a few more flaws in this one than usual, but thats because this one was more for fun than my last one, so i focused less on getting it perfect. But i'm glad you liked it!

Eh, why submit this?

If it's just a test, why submit it? That's what places like DeviantArt and SheezyArt are for.
This place is for completed movies, and that's what I'll judge it as.
I try not to let score affect my review (as you sometimes can't control that), but in this case, I can't help but point out that people are going overboard with the fives.

The style is boring. It's typical. It's nothing special.

There really wasn't much animation. Most of the time we were just staring at still images.

You didn't even bother to animate the mouths really. There's no color either.

This is like hanging a sketch you scribbled during lunch in the completed paintings gallery.

I was also not impressed with the sound or story.

But you've got talent. I just wish you'd stop making these scribbles.

Keep animating!

I"m submitting cuase It's fun and I don't mind having this on NG.
Mainly because I like Newgrounds, you must like Newgrounds too.

It ain't a complete test. If it's a real test, it wouldn't be here.
Story is everything, and these projects have it.

" people are going overboard with the fives."
I just let them do whatever they want. Who's ever doing what, thats how people and life are.
Is it bothering you people are voting fives? Doesn't bother me much, guess people vote 5's whenever they like something.

"The style is boring. It's typical. It's nothing special."
Thanks for your honesty. For more serious projects I will try to give more effort into character designs.

And of course I wouldn't animate the mouths. Don't care to practice on animating mouths as much as coloring, that would slow me down.

"This is like hanging a sketch you scribbled during lunch in the completed paintings gallery."
Then this must be standing out.

"I was also not impressed with the sound or story."
I'll try harder

" I just wish you'd stop making these scribbles."
We live different lives.

Deserves all the attention it probably won't get.

Such a wonderful animation. So smooth; so flawless. The characters corresponded perfectly with their environments, rather lovely backgrounds I might add.

The style was fantastic, and the colors all fit together so beautifully.
And your characters, despite not a single line in the short, have fantastically developed personalities. I really like them already and I've only seen two and a half minutes of them.
I'm really looking forward to more.

You should put this down on DVD and run the film festival circuit. This charming animated short would certainly be accepted at many of them.

I'm definitely going to keep an eye on your material in the future.

SWiTCH responds:

Thanks, it means a lot!

Uh huh...

Well, like with your Touchtone Genius cartoon, you've done a song that's been heard a million times. This one specifically has been done to death, especially since we've seen it in so many mediocre animations.

Aside from your zombies, which were pretty poor, your art was ok. But it never moved. You made a ton of static pictures and just tweened them around.
You tried to throw in some "neat" lighting and a few cycles of several pseudo-fbf animations, but none of that works to impress.

It was pretty disappointing for the most part.

But you've got potential and I hope to see you produce better stuff in the future. Keep animating!

skarl3tte responds:

Yeah, I can understand what your saying. This really isn't my best work, but like i said it was just a thing for my class at school, where most of the class doesn't know what tweening or a tablet is.
