Brilliant.

Ah, man, not your best animation, but certainly some of your funniest material yet. I loved it. Great work.

My favorite was the dropped call one (can't remember at the moment which company does those). That one was brilliant.

TomaMoto also did an awesome job of the voices.

MetalDart responds:

Thanks a lot squeakytoad, it really means a lot.
It really does. <3

Fantastic.

Great work. You really did an awesome job of this.
The animation was brilliant and smooth. You did an incredible job of the effects, and you didn't overdo them.

Love the simple story. Great end. Saw it coming, but loved it anyway.

Josh Tamugaia did a great job with the sound. Props to him.

Beautiful.

Absolutely awesome. A really inspirational and moving piece of art you have here, man.

I love it when an animator creates something like this, that contains such a level of emotion.

You did a great job of it. The art was fantastic.

Wow.

Incredible animation. Fantastic character art. And the beautiful cityscapes.
This was absolutely amazing.
I was pretty awed when I watched that Aladdin cartoon a while back, but this outdoes it by quite a bit.
I think this thing's definitely clenched its permanent spot in the top fifty, and in the history of NG.
Great work, man. Can't wait to see more.

I actually voted five...

...on a Wonchop animation.
I liked this, man. Major props to you.

Wonchop responds:

Heh thanks.

Ah, man, you're getting good.

Very smooth animation. Quite professional. I loved the backgrounds. You did an excellent job on those. Genuinely funny moments and some awesome parodies and references.

Loved it. You've improved a massive amount since Alberqurque, which was great. Love how you used a mix of tweens and frame-by-frame work. It looks really smooth.
I loved a ton of your illustrations. You got incredibly creative.

One of the best Pico submissions I've seen so far.

Both of you, Toonimated and Swain, have always been quite talented at laying out a story, even in your randomness.

The animation and art, oh how I loved them. You both did well. Pacing was a little iffy. Character art wasn't as consistent as usual for you, but overall very polished.

Loved it.

Happy Pico Day.

The-Swain responds:

The slowest moment in the 'toon, aside from the intro and conclusion, is probably when Pico first arrives at the pirate ship. He's not fighting them off tooth and nail as he falls from the sky, but 3 minutes and 40 seconds of animating straight action is so taxing on our need to be "storytellers" that we had to slip a modicum of character development in there :) Naturally, this is out of place in an action cartoon, but hey, what can ya do?

And I'm sure you'll forgive us on the changing nature of Pico's artwork. We didn't animate the whole thing in chronological order, and as this is the first time either of us has animated this character, improvements and mistakes were to be expected over time.

Also, large investments in software come after we make the money to buy it, not before :)

Thanks for another review, ST :D I must now go and review today's other Pico submissions too.
